Camera obsession - practical and stylish

As a photographer one of my main loves in my life is my cameras. I own alot, I dont collect them as such but over 10 years I have used plenty and all have a specfic feel and different quailty. Similar to a car collector or even owning more than 2 suits, all have a different feel and purpose.

You can check out my website at ... www.iamharvey.co.uk

The one thing I have found is most people ask me what and where I get my cameras from. Some have a vintage feel and some generic. The generic ones not taken in the image ( shown below) are my work horse camera. These are industry standard and I only use them for work, alittle like an A+B car while your collectibles stay covered if in the garage.

            Here are some descriptions:

Fuji X-PRO 1

This is my favorite travel camera, interchangable lens, 16mg and beautiful looking. Came with two lens a 18mm and a 28 mm with a deep black leather case. I am looking at getting a 35mm lens soon.

--------------------------------

Canon g7x

Small and compact that packs a punch. I use this when I need a pocket size camera or if I know there is going to be alot of selfies involved. It has a flip screen making it easy to take the best duck face haha. 90% of the time I use this camera for video, it shoots 1080p Hd video, which is the best I have seen from a compact camera.

---------------------------

Fuji x100

The fuji x100 became a little of a dust collector since I have purchased the Xpro 1, but the look and feel with its brown leather case look great with a suit. A fixed 28mm lens and 12mg sensor, this camera has traveled to Thailand with me twice been thrown around....no issues.

--------------------------

SJ7000 sportscam

I have used this video camera a handful of times but when I do I love seeing the super wide angle and how much fun you can have with it. I didn't want to get a go pro I know they are the best but its too expensive for something I knew I wouldn't use much.

--------------------------

Pentax ME super

This camera was given to me by my dad ( not the exact one because that one got stolen sadly) It was the first camera I owned and was the start to my adventure in photography.

Yashica Zoommate 165SE

Slap a £1 film in this from the poundshop and snap away. Great camera to leave around and see what people do with it.

My wish list for 2016

I have been doing alot of research for this blog and became obsessed with wanting to buy ALOT of things. From bags to homeware.

I thought I would right a little post about it.

Today has been a relaxed but rough day. It was my best friends engagment meal last night, we went to Gauchos in Leeds ( link below)

http://www.gauchorestaurants.co.uk/restaurants/leeds/

I orderd the 400g Sirlion steak with pepper corn sauce and a tasty Ale , which comes to the rough part of today.

I suffer from migrains caused by eating either cheese / choclate or caffine. ( i know bummer right)

I was downstairs cooking me and Eefke a homemade Shepard pie with a rosemary and sweet potato crust. My eyes started to blur out and I just jumped under my bed sheets a fell asleep....meh

I cant say what caused it but think I will give Gauchos a miss next time haha.

Any way it has gone now just slight sharp pains when I move rapidly.

Onto the topic at hand. This is my wish list for 2016. Obviusly it being a wish lish some items are achieble and some are deffinalty way out my legue at this point in time.

After doing this I noticed I had expensive taste but I do like clothing that is quality and fits or looks beautiful, that usually not all the time comes with a price.

Tech Time #1 - Finlux TV

Hey Peeps

Im a big nerd when it comes to Tech and new tech....but even more so when the price is right.

When I moved into my new flat the TV, I was still using was a 32inch JVC flatscreen.

It was a great TV and did me well,  I have proberly had it since I was 19. It has been to Uni with me and to evey house / flat I have moved to.

But it was time to upgrade.

Im a big lover of anything APPLE or Samsung.

As you will find out my Samsung love it growing greaty.

I wanted something between the 40inch - 48inch, This was due to the space I was putting it in.

After a lot of suchign and youtubing the best kinds of TV's I came across a company called FInlux.

A low budget but high quailty Tv retailer.

The Samsung Tv I was looking at would cost around £600. Where as for all the same specs and same, I could get the Finlux 42" for £280.

Crazy and I thought "meh why not"

https://finlux.co.uk/tv-42fme249s-t

Here is the tv:

The quailty is beautiful, slim sleek design. I have not had one problem with it.

No lag when playing on my PS4 as you can see below the screen resolution is brilliant.

3D movies are awesome, It come with two 3D glasses and I bought Avatar straight away.

 Funny story :

When I first bought the TV, I went to Asda and bought Avengers 3D to watch it that night. Thinking I would be by myself and just nerd it up. Do nothing - I ordered a take away to pick up on my way home.

Just as I was finishing work my girlfriend text me saying she misses me and want to hang out....obviously I couldn't say " hey, sorry chick I have a date with .........my new TV' haha

So she came over, Ordered a second meal for her and got a bottle of wine. Sat down and placed the DVD in the PS4. Excited to see it, giddy and placing the glasses on my head. When it started to play Eefke turned to me said...."I have already seen this one" .... " so have I, but its wicked right in 3D".

Long story short. She won I was sat with head phones on watching the 2D version on my samsung 10 inch tab, while she watch grand designs on my new TV.

Neverless the next night I had "alot of work to do" HAHA.
